Multi Asian Inter-ethnic Network

Freelance Project

The Multi Asian Inter-ethnic Network (MAIN) is a newly rebranded organization affiliated with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS), aimed at bringing together Asian leaders from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures to address common mission and ministry opportunities. Formerly known as the Multi Asian Gathering, which is its main event, the organization has restructured itself to serve as the network behind the Multi Asian Gathering and aims to expand its events in the future.

In this rebranding, we aimed to integrate the Lutheran identity into the new system. I drew inspiration from the LCMS cross to create the MAIN cross logo. This icon represents two key concepts. First, the four parts of the cross symbolize the different regions from which people come—North, East, South, and West. Second, the orange strips of the cross form the image of a bridge, representing how we all come from diverse backgrounds, races, and ethnicities but are united through Jesus Christ.

The chosen typography is called Mestiza, as its elements resemble features of Asian languages. It maintains a balanced professionalism with unique features that add an Asian flair. For colors, the blue was inspired by the LCMS colors to maintain a connection to the church. Orange was selected as a bold color to drive the brand forward and distinguish MAIN from other organizations affiliated with LCMS.
